Two fights have been added to the unannounced Jan. 19 UFC event Brazil, according to Brazilian news outlets Sportv.com and Tatame.
In bantamweight action, Yuri Alcantara drops a weight class from 145-pounds to take on fellow Brazilian countryman, Johnny Eduardo.
Also, in a featherweight affair, ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil’ runner-up Godofredo Castro meets Milton Vieira.
Alcantara (28-4) has his 13-fight winning streak snapped at UFC 147 in July when he lost a unanimous decision to Hacran Dias. The 32-year-old will look to get back on track when he competes at 135-pounds for the first time in the UFC. Eduardo (26-9) earned his first UFC victory in April, outpointing Jeff Curran for a decision. The 34-year-old has won half of his professional fights by submission.
Castro (8-1) failed to become the ‘TUF: Brazi’ featherweight winner earlier this year, however he did prove he is a UFC caliber fighter with the performance. Vieira (13-7-2) has a second chance at a UFC win after his debut against Felipe Arantes at UFC 147 in July ended in a split draw.
A location or venue for the Jan. 19 event is unknown at this time.
