Matt Riddle had stepped in to face Besam Yousef, as Stephan Thompson was forced to withdraw due to injury. Now, Yousef has also had to bow out due to injury and taking his place is John Maguire.
UFC officials announced the change to the card earlier this week.
Maguire (18-4) was on a seven fight winning streak and undefeated inside the octagon, until he lost to John Hathaway by Unanimous Decision at UFC on FUEL TV 5 in September. The fighter dubbed as “The One” will look to rebound off of his first UFC loss and get back into the win column against Riddle.
Riddle (6-3-1NC) last fought in Calgary at UFC 149, where he won via submission against Chris Clements. However, that fight was overturned due to Riddle failing a post-fight drug test. He was suspended for 90 days for testing positive for marijuana.
UFC 154 is set to go down on November 17 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The main event is for the welterweight title, as Georges St-Pierre looks to defend his world welterweight championship against interim champion Carlos Condit.
