Nick Ring vs. Costa Philippou scratched; Bocek vs. dos Anjos moved to UFC 154 PPV card

A middleweight bout between Nick Ring (13-1) and Costa Philippou (11-2) was scrapped from the UFC 154 fight card.

UFC officials announced Saturday that Ring was not cleared by medical staff due to an illness and would be unable to compete. This unfortunately left Philippou without an opponent and he was ultimately pulled from the card as well.

The UFC has made it official that a lightweight scrap between Mark Bocek (11-4) and Rafael dos Anjos (17-6) would take its place on the UFC 154 PPV portion of the card.

Subsequently a featherweight bout between Rodrigo Damm (10-5 ) and Antonio Carvalho (14-5) has been moved from the Facebook preliminary card up to the FX/Sportsnet prelims.

Below is what the new card will look like.

MAIN CARD (PPV 7pm PT/10pm ET)

  • Champ Georges St-Pierre vs. interim champ Carlos Condit (welterweight-title unification)
  • Johny Hendricks vs. Martin Kampmann
  • Tom Lawlor vs. Francis Carmont
  • Mark Bocek vs. Rafael dos Anjos
  • Mark Hominick vs. Pablo Garza

PRELIMINARY CARD (FX/Sportsnet 5pm PT/8pm ET)

  • Patrick Cote vs. Alessio Sakara
  • Cyrille Diabate vs. Chad Griggs
  • John Makdessi vs. Sam Stout
  • Antonio Carvalho vs. Rodrigo Damm

PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook 3:20pm PT/6:20pm ET)

  • John Maguire vs. Matt Riddle
  • Azamat Gashimov vs. Ivan Menjivar
  • Darren Elkins vs. Steven Siler
