|

UFC on FOX 5 is just around the corner, which means former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua is in full force for his training camp to prepare for Alexander Gustafsson. However, in his spare-time Rua has decided to give back to the people of his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil. The Brazilian native will be auctioning off his autographed fight worn gloves, which he wore in his win over Brandon Vera last August to aid hospitals in his hometown.

“The growth of the sport helped us to get closer to the audience of all ages. If we all help a little, a lot can be improved.”

All money raised will go to he hospitals of Irmandade da Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Curitiba, which is Rua’s hometown.
