Former PRIDE veterans Phil Baroni (15-15) and Hayato Sakurai (36-12-2) are set to face one another at DREAM 18, an event brought to you GLORY Sports International.

DREAM 18, along with GLORY 4 TOKYO, takes place on New Year’s Eve at the Saitama Super Arena situated in Tokyo, Japan in what has been dubbed as “A Mega New Year’s Eve Special”.
Semmy Schilt, Daniel Ghita, Remy Bonjasky, Gokhan Saki, Peter Aerts and Errol Zimmerman are just a few names that have been booked for GLORY 4 TOKYO. DREAM 18, meanwhile, which takes place on the same night, is expected to showcase top MMA talents like grappling maestro Shinya Aoki, and veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri.
Phil Baroni vs. Hayato Sakurai is the only known MMA match-up thus far. Both veterans are coming off wins in their last respective outings too, following consecutive defeats. Having competed in the now defunct PRIDE promotion years ago, it’s well worth noting that both fighters are no strangers to the Japanese MMA scene.
