“Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.” ~ Chili Davis
Wow, I can’t believe it was four years ago today that MMASucka.com was born. It has sure come a long way in those four short years.
It started out as a simple iWeb site, with its first article about UFC President Dana White’s favourite razor. Go figure!!
I’d like to thank all past and current contributors to the site.
The first person to join me in this epic journey was Ryan Phillip Lam. He took on the role as host of MMASucka Radio, but eventually decided to take on different endeavours. We wish him the best of luck.
Then the Sin City Judoka, Eric Center stepped up to be a feature writer. He is now living in Las Vegas training Judo and working on a music career.
One final former guy I would like to thank and that’s Steve Muehlhausen. He has moved on to brighter pastures, well in his eyes it is. 😉
Trevor Dueck approached me at a local event and the rest is history. He has become the new host of MMASucka Radio, the head of marketing and many other roles. He is a truly valuable piece to the MMASucka equation.
Nelson Yeo takes some of the best photographs in MMA. He attends all the local shows in British Columbia.
JP Lasaleta is a contributor and the man behind the lens when it comes to exclusive videos on MMASucka.com.
Carlin Bardsley likes to drink his way into the spotlight and definitely does it well. Look for his work not only on MMASucka.com, but also Sportsnet.ca. He also hosts a daily MMA show on NextSportStar.com.
Shawn W. Smith has taken on one of the biggest roles within the MMASucka confines as the editor. When it comes to writing, not everyone can be a spelling ace or a grammar king, but Shawn makes us look like we are.
Justin Faux is our Australian correspondent, but his contributions don’t stop at that. His stories on all subjects pique the interest of the readers. Whether are controversial or not, Justin’s articles are always entertaining.
Thinesh John joined the team about a year back and has been putting out some great Asian content. The man hails from Singapore and is already making some serious connections inside the Asian MMA community.
Mike Bohn is only 21 and probably one of the most determined writers and media people I have seen. He is no longer with MMASucka, but in his short tenure he put up some awesome pieces and great original content. Congrats to him on his new role with MMAmania.com
I’d like to also thank our weekly contributors, Henry Lai, Adam Martin, David Stanford and Josh Oliveira.
Without people like you this site wouldn’t be where it is at today.
The sponsors we have had on board: Warriors Edge and Lights Out Fightwear believed in us and took a shot almost right out of the gates. We have had plenty of others such as Nutrabolics and Fight Caps. I would like to thank you for keeping MMASucka alive.
Last but not least, the readers. Without you, there is no point in doing what we do. I would like to thank you for the honest feedback on everything we do… Whether you actually like it or not.
To another year!!
Congratulations and more more blessed years!
