Just over a week ago it was announced that Urijah Faber was slated to take on Vaughan Lee at UFC 156. However, both Lee and Faber later announced that it was just a rumor and there was nothing true about it.
The good folks at Tatame.com have now reported that Faber will be squaring off against Ivan Menjivar. They stated that it would be going down at UFC 156, however MMAWeekly.com is reporting that it will in fact go down at UFC 157 in Anaheim.
This will be a rematch between Faber and Menjivar, as the two faced off at TKO 24: Eruption almost six years ago. Menjivar lost the fight due to disqualification when he landed an illegal kick to a downed opponent.
Faber (26-6) last fought at UFC 149 in July. He lost a decision to Renan Barao for the Interim Bantamweight Championship.
Menjivar (25-9) is coming off of a very impressive first round submission at UFC 154 against Azamat Gashimov. He is 3-1 inside the Octagon with his lone loss coming to Mike Easton.
