Rory MacDonald wants to get back to who he was prior to Carlos Condit loss

|

SEATTLE – Rory MacDonald (14-1) put on a dominating performance against a very game B.J. Penn on the main card of UFC on FOX 5. Following the victory, MacDonald interrupted UFC commentator Joe Rogan and said he would like to take on Carlos Condit.

Condit is the man who holds the lone loss on MacDonald’s very impressive record.

Back in 2010, MacDonald was pushing the pace against Condit and was up two rounds to none. Condit miraculously got the TKO victory with just seven seconds left in the third round.

At the UFC on FOX 5 Post-Fight Press Conference, MacDonald spoke on this subject and how he has never been the same since the loss.

“I was just laying there getting beaten on. My face looked like I was the guy from ‘The Goonies’ after. I was embarrassed. I was embarrassed about my performance and how I held myself. It did a lot of damage, and I don’t think I’ve been the same person since. I want to get that back.”

As always, Dana White and Joe Silva will go to the drawing board to figure out what to do with MacDonald next, but Condit is definitely on his radar.
