Cody McKenzie forced out of UFC 155 bout with Leonard Garcia due to injury

|

A featherweight bout at UFC 155 is up in the air, as Cody McKenzie has been forced to withdraw from his bout against Leonard Garcia due to injury.

UFC officials have yet to make an official announcement, however sources close to MMASucka.com have confirmed the injury.

No word as to whether a replacement is being sought after by the UFC, however keep it locked for info as it occurs.

Garcia who is riding a three fight losing streak, is in a position where a win is necessary. Even though he is an exciting fighter, it is tough for the UFC to keep a fighter under contract who loses four in a row.

UFC 155 goes down on December 29 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Nevada. The main event is for the UFC Heavyweight Championship, as Junior dos Santos looks to defend his belt against the man he took it from, Cain Velasquez.

MMAJunkie.com was first to report the injury.
