Two more fights have been added to UFC on FUEL TV 9 which goes down in Sweden. A bantamweight match-up between Brad Pickett and Mike Easton, as well as a featherweight showdown between Marcus Brimage and Conor McGregor have been added to the April 6th card.
UFC officials announced the latest match-ups on Thursday.
Pickett (22-7) is 2-2 since joining the UFC, with his most recent trip to the Octagon being a loss to Eddie Wineland at UFC 155. The loss to Wineland snapped a two fight winning streak for the Brit. “One Punch” finished both Damacio Page and Yves Jabouin prior to UFC 155.
Easton (13-2) was on an eight fight winning streak prior to his UFC on FOX 5 loss to Raphael Assunção. Prior to the loss to Assunção he had won his first three fights under the UFC banner.
Brimage (6-1) was a contestant on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter and didn’t fair so well. However, he has since gone 3-0, picking up wins over Stephen Bass, Maximo Blanco and most recently Jimy Hettes.
McGregor (12-2) will make his UFC debut against Brimage and look to continue his win streak. Currently sitting at eight fights in a row, McGregor most recently defeated Ivan Buchinger by impressive knockout at Cage Warriors 51 to be crowned lightweight champion.
UFC on FUEL TV 9 will go down from the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on April 6th. The main event event is a light heavyweight showdown between Sweden’s own Alexander Gustafsson and former Strikeforce fighter Gegard Mousasi.
