Soa “The Hulk” Palelei has signed a four-fight contact with The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
This will be Soa’s second stint with the UFC, after going 0-1 the first time around. However, the heavyweight from Australia is now a different fighter and has not lost a fight since 2010. He is currently on an eight fight-winning streak, including seven first round TKOs. All of The Hulk’s 18 career wins have come via finish and he promises to bring this same exciting style to the Octagon.
Palelei said the following about being in the UFC, “I’m thankful to Dana White and Joe Silva for giving me this opportunity to come back to the UFC to showcase my skills. With determination, hard work and a great team, I’m happy to say that today I have signed with the UFC. I look forward to competing in the best organization in the world.”
*Update* Soa Palelei will make his return to the UFC against Stipe Miocic at UFC 161, scheduled to take place in Winnipeg, Canada on June 15.
I was curious when I seen the headline that said the UFC signs a fighter that everybody is afraid of….. And then I see the name Soa Palelie. LOL I guarantee you that any heavyweight in the UFC is not afraid of Soa Palelie.
He has reeled off 8 wins in a row against guys that are nowhere near UFC-level competition. This is the same guy that got finished in minutes by Daniel Cormier (which was his last loss) and lost a decision to Eddie Sanchez in his last UFC fight and Eddie Sanchez wasn’t good enough to be in the UFC himself.
His last 8 opponents in that winning streak that the article boats
Yusuke Kawaguchi (13-6) No significant wins
Hae Suk Won (3-4) A losing record and the guy is a middleweight
Matt Walker (3-6) A losing record
Henry Miller (6-15) A bad losing record
Shunsuke Inoue (12-7) Isn’t even a true heavyweight only weighs like 215
Joe Kielur (4-1) The man is 51 years old and took this fight coming off 3 years retirement
Bob Sapp (11-16) LOL Bob Sapp has lost 10 fights in a row and is taking dives at this point just to draw a paycheck.
Sean McCorkle (16-5) Probably the only relevant win on that streak over a guy that has had experience against UFC level competition.
I would agree with that. The problem is we do not choose the headlines that come from those ad agencies, they often choose what they feel will get the most clicks.
SO, you feel totally okay selling your name, words and opinions to the highest bidder to do with what they please? Does this not make you feel like a joke? never mind, probably not.
HAHHAHAHAH This article is pure comedy
