|

VFD Marketing in cooperation with their MMA management arm is proud to announce that Erik ’El Goyito’ Perez has signed a new 6-fight contract with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).

With the signing of this historic deal “Goyito” has become one of the highest-paid bantamweights in the promotion, earning $18,000 to show and another $18,000 to win bonus (not including fight night awards) for his upcoming bout on April 27.  His show and win money will see significant increases after every successful Octagon outing.

Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Erik Perez (13-4) is currently one of the top prospects in the UFC. Perez is unbeaten inside the Octagon with 3 stoppage victories.

Earlier in 2012, ’El Goyito’ cemented his place in history with the fastest KO/TKO finish in UFC/WEC bantamweight division history. Perez finished Ken Stone in just 17 seconds at UFC 150.

Erik Perez is excited to continue his progress in the UFC:

”I’m very proud to fight in the UFC,” he said. ”My goal is to become a champion, and I will work extremely hard in the gym and inside the Octagon to reach it.”

Perez’s training camp is based at the world-famous Jackson’s-Winkeljohn’s MMA Academy in Albuquerque, NM. Jackson’s-Winkeljohn’s is also a home to many other VFD Marketing fighters, such as Travis Browne (top heavyweight contender), Clay Guida (top featherweight contender), and Donald Cerrone (WEC veteran, top lightweight contender).
