Nick Diaz accuses UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre of being on “plenty of steroids”

|

The UFC’s number so-called number one contender in the welterweight division, Nick Diaz, has been causing quite the stir among media leading up to this Saturday’s UFC 158 main event bout against Georges St-Pierre.

Earlier this month, Diaz brought on a huge commotion during a media conference called. You can listen to the audio from that here. The the media blew up when he decided to blow off the open workouts on Wednesday, due to the fact that he needed his sleep.

Today things got even more interesting following the UFC 158 pre-fight press conference when Diaz told “Tim and Sid” of Sportsnet Fan 590 that he believes St-Pierre is on “plenty of steroids”.

“I believe that he’s on plenty of steroids. And I don’t think they test around here and I don’t think I’ll be tested as well. I don’t care what they’re saying or marketing to the media, I don’t think either of us are going to be tested and if so, he’s probably got a bottle of piss in his pocket. I doubt they’re standing over him making sure he’s not on steroids.”

A very big statement to make this close to the fight, especially when UFC President Dana White has said that if Diaz fails his post-fight drug test then he would “probably” be cut from the organization.

We will see what comes next and if St-Pierre will have a rebuttal to the accusations that came from Diaz.
