In a night where the welterweights were expected to shine, that they did. Three of the six welterweight fighters that did battle on the main card this past Saturday night at UFC 158 took home fight bonuses.
The knockout of the night happened when Jake Ellenberger made quick work of Nate Marquardt, knocking him out in the very first round.
A three round battle between the current number one ranked welterweight Johny Hendricks and Carlos Condit took home Fight of the Night. Condit utilized his tricky stand-up style to try and fool Hendricks, but the Team Takedown fighter used his takedowns to seal the deal and go on to beat Condit.
There was no submission of the night awarded.
Bonus winners took home $50,000 each.
