Video: Georges St-Pierre vs Nick Diaz fight highlights
Montreal’s own Georges St-Pierre defended his UFC welterweight championship against Nick Diaz at UFC 158.
In the first two rounds, St-Pierre took the fight to the ground at will and controlled Diaz using his strength for the majority of those rounds. In the later rounds, Diaz was able to stuff a few of the champs takedowns and user his boxing to bloody him up. Unfortunately for Diaz, St-Pierre’s takedowns defined the fight, as he landed 12 of them throughout the five rounds.
St-Pierre swept the judges’ scorecards (50-45,50-45,50-45) and took home a unanimous decision.
