Following UFC on FUEL TV 8, the organization has released middleweight Riki Fukuda and suspended bantamweight Alex Caceres due to failed drug tests.
UFC officials announced the news on Wednesday.
Caceres (8-5) tested positive for marijuana metabolites following his victory over Kyung Ho Kang, however due to the failed drug test the win has been changed to a “no-contest”. Caceres has been suspended for six months.
Fukuda (19-7) lost a unanimous decision against Brad Tavares in his home country of Japan. Following the loss he tested positive for three different banned substances; phenylpropanolamine, norpseudoephedrine and ephedrine. The UFC released Fikuda following the positive test.
On Tuesday Fukuda tweeted, “Im cut from UFC.I had a special experience.Thank you very much all my suport and @ufc @AKA_HQ @jonfitchdotnet”
