The UFC on FOX 8 card has added three more fights to the July 27 show.
Robbie Lawler will take on Tarec Saffiedine, Danny Castillo will face Bobby Green and Dave Herman returns to the cage against Shane Del Rosario.
UFC officials announced the match-ups on Thursday.
Lawler (20-9) returned to the octagon for the first time in over eight years and picked up a big TKO victory over Josh Koscheck at UFC 157. The 31-year old has had a rocky career over the past stretch going 5-5 in his last ten fights.
The victory over Koscheck shot him right back into the UFC limelight and picked himself up “Knockout of the Night” honors for it.
Saffiedine (14-3) is riding a four-fight winning streak coming into UFC on FOX 8. His most recent victory was the biggest of his career as he won the Strikeforce Welterweight Championship at the final Strikeforce event against Nate Marquardt.
This will be Saffiedine’s first fight in six-months.
Castillo (15-5) last fought at February’s FUEL TV event where he picked up a decision nod against Paul Sass. “Last Call” is 4-1 in his last five fights, with his lone loss coming at the hands of Michael Johnson this past October.
Green (20-5) will get his second fight inside the octagon after being moved over from Strikeforce. He picked up a submission victory at UFC 156 against Jacob Volkmann which increased his winning streak to five.
In his UFC debut Green took home “Submission of the Night” for his rear naked choke against Volkmann.
Herman (21-5) returns to the cage after a six-month suspension for testing positive for marijuana following his UFC 153 loss to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. That loss was Herman’s third in a row and was the second time he had tested positive for marijuana.
Del Rosario (11-2) has fought in the UFC twice and lost both fights. Coming into the organization the former Strikeforce fighter was riding an eleven-fight winning streak.
In his octagon debut “No Limits” lost by TKO to Stipe Miocic and followed that up with a loss to Pat Barry at the TUF 16 finale.
UFC on FOX 8 will go down on July 27 from the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. Mac Danzig vs. Melvin Guillard is the only fight that has been officially announced for the event thus far. While no main event has been announced yet, UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson (Washington State native) is vying for a spot on the card too.
