Rumor: ONE FC signs Heavyweight Paul Cheng to multi-fight deal

|

There is a buzz going around Vancouver, BC and it’s a big one.

Word on the street is that  heavyweight fighter Paul Cheng has agreed to a deal, although not yet official, with ONE FC.

At 3-1 in his very young mixed martial arts career, Cheng has made a giant leap that will bring his status to a whole different level. The terms of the signing have not been announced, but it’s thought to be a multi fight deal.

Cheng (3-1) most recently fought at AFC 12 this past November and obliterated his opponent Ryan Hunter by knockout in the very first round.

The man known as “Typhoon” had a professional football career for the BC Lions of the CFL and he speaks fluent Mandarin, making him an instant draw for Asia’s largest MMA Promotion.

We can only hope for an early summer debut for ‘The Typhoon’ while fellow lower mainland resident Bibiano Fernandes headlines ONE FC 9.

Expect an official announcement in the coming days, so keep it locked to MMASucka.com for more news as it arises.

ONE FC will hold their ninth event on May 31 from the SM Arena in Manila, Philippines.
