Akira Corassani challenges Conor McGregor to fight at UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 event

|

It doesn’t come as much of a surprise that UFC featherweight fighter Conor McGregor has been receiving numerous requests to fight, but one call-out that is legitimate is from Akira Corassani.

On Sunday Corassani took to his YouTube page to place a challenge for a fight with the Irish stand-out at UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 in Boston.

“Conor McGregor, I hereby challenge you to fight me on Aug. 17, 2013, on FOX Sports 1 at TD Garden.”

Following McGregor’s impressive knockout victory over Marcus Brimage in his UFC debut at UFC on FUEL TV 9, UFC President Dana White said that he would like “Notorious” to fight at the FOX 1 card in Boston.

The victory over Brimage was McGregor’s ninth straight, which included picking up both the lightweight and featherweight Cage Warriors titles.

Corassani appeared on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter, however lost in the semi-finals. Since the show, the Swedish native has gone 2-0 inside the Octagon with his most recent victory coming over Robbie Peralta also at UFC on FUEL TV 9.

Check out Corassani’s very polite challenge below.
