Earlier today we reported that Nick Diaz’ new project, WAR MMA, has announced that they will be running a show on June 22nd at the Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA. We also reported that they had missed their original on-sale date for tickets, which was initially to be today at 10AM PT. Well, now we have an update on the situation, courtesy of Bleacher Report’s Damon Martin.
According to Mr. Martin, the on-sale date has been changed to tomorrow (May 29th) at 10AM PT, but that’s not the most interesting thing. The most interesting thing to be revealed today is that Diaz has not gotten his promoter’s license yet, which was confirmed by the California State Athletic Commission executive director, Andy Foster. Foster also told Bleacher Report that the commission has not received the necessary paper work from Diaz in order to give him a promoter’s license yet, and that he or a representative will be expected to appear before the CSAC at their June 10th meeting in order to ensure the show will go on as scheduled.
