A featherweight battle between Conor McGregor and Andy Ogle will take place at the first ever UFC on FOX Sports 1 event in Boston.
UFC officials announced the fight on Friday.
McGregor (13-2) has not lost a fight since 2010 and is currently riding a nine-fight winning streak. In his UFC debut, the Irish native made an impression as he TKO’d Marcus Brimage at UFC on FUEL TV 9 in April.
Prior to debuting with the UFC McGregor was the Cage Warriors FC featherweight and lightweight champion.
Ogle (9-2) was a part of The Ultimate Fighter Live cast and lost in the semi-finals against Al Iaquinta. In his featherweight debut he took on Akira Corassani at UFC on FUEL TV 5 and lost a split decision.
He then took on former featherweight contender Josh Grispi at UFC on FUEL TV 7 and earned the unanimous decision in front of his home country of England.
UFC on Fox Sports 1 is expected to take place at the TD Gardens in Boston, Mass. On August 17. No main event has been set for the Fox 1 card, however UFC President Dana White has stated that it will be the best free card on network television.
