|

At UFC on FOX Sports 1 1, The Ultimate Fighter Season 17 favorite Uriah Hall will take on Canadian Nick Ring.

UFC officials announced the match-up on Friday morning.

Hall (7-3) was a part of Team Chael Sonnen on the seventeenth season of TUF and was a heavy favorite to win the entire show. He was upset at the Finale against teammate Kelvin Gastelum by split decision.

Prior to coming in to the UFC Hall held the Ring of Combat middleweight title.

Ring (13-2) went on an impressive twelve fight winning streak to begin his career, but has hit a roadblock and gone 1-2 in his last three fights. Ring was a part of the eleventh season of TUF, but was forced to withdraw because he needed ACL reconstruction surgery.

The Calgary native holds key victories over Riki Fukuda, James Head and Court McGee.

UFC on Fox Sports 1 is expected to take place at the TD Gardens in Boston, Mass. On August 17. No main event has been set for the Fox 1 card, however UFC President Dana White has stated that it will be the best free card on network television.
