UFC on FS1 I adds Cole Miller Vs. Manny Gamburyan

A featherweight clash between two Zuffa stalwarts has been announced for the UFC’s debut on Fox Sports 1 with two long-time Zuffa fighters clashing in Miller and Gamburyan.

The fight was confirmed on this evening’s edition of UFC tonight.

Cole Miller (19-7) os A veteran of the UFC’s lighter weight classes, with 13 fights for the big show. The American Top Team product comes into this bout on the heels of a submission victory over Bart Palaszewski at the Ultimate Fighter 17 finale. A submission specialist and BJJ black belt, “Magrinho”  has notched 14 of his 19 wins by submission, and is looking to make it two in a row over the Manny Gamburyan. Will Miller be be able to get his first set of consecutive wins since 2010 over the Armenian-American judo specialist?

Manny Gamburyan (12-7) first came to the attention of UFC fans on the fifth season of the Ultimate Fighter, losing to Nate Diaz due to injury on the show’s finale card. Since then, the Team Hayastan member has been streaky, winning a couple of fights, then losing a couple. The featherweight training partner of Ronda Rousey is coming into this match following a unanimous decision victory of Michihiro Omigawa at UFC on Fox 4. Will the UFC’s longest-tenured Armenian be able to start a new winning streak against Miller?

UFC on FS1 I is scheduled to take place on August 17th at the TD Garden Arena in Boston, MA. The card is scheduled to be headlined by a light heavyweight clash between Chael Sonnen and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. For more information on this and other upcoming UFC events, stay tuned to MMASucka.com!
