“The King” has been forced to abdicate his position versus “The Thugjitsu Master,” and had it usurped by “The Detroit Superstar.”

UFC Tonight reported this latest change to the UFC on Fox 8 card earlier tonight via its Twitter account.

Spencer Fisher injured, replaced by Daron Cruickshank vs. Yves Edwards at UFC on Fox 8

Daron “The Detroit Superstar” Cruickshank (12-3) has gone 2-1 since his time as a member of Team Faber on the 15th season of the Ultimate Fighter. This bout will mark the striker’s return from a nose-destroying decision loss to John Makdessi at UFC 158. How will Cruickshank’s skills on the feet be able to match up against “The Thugjitsu Master’s” varied attack?

Yves “The Thugjitsu Master” (42-19-1) Edwards is one of the UFC’s most traveled veterans at any weight class, with a total of 62 mixed martial arts bouts under his belt. Having gone 4-3 in his current UFC stint, the always entertaining Edwards is looking to bounce back from a close split-decision loss to Ike Vallie-Flagg at UFC 156. Will the crafty veteran be able to take it to the relative rookie and try to start a new winning streak?

UFC on Fox 8 emanates from the Key Arena in Seattle, WA on July 27th. The card is set to be headlined by a flyweight title bout between the champion Demetrious Johnson vs. the challenger, grappling standout John Moraga. Stay tuned to MMASucka for more on this and other upcoming events.
