Chris Horodecki wins XFFC lightweight title

It’s been a long hard road for the surviving members of Team Tompkins. Sam Stout has been somewhat middling, Mark Hominick has retired, and now the baby of the group, Chris Horodecki, has made an important step forward in his career resurgence. “The Polish Hammer” Horodecki has captured the XFFC lightweight title. Making this step forward on the regional scene is an important part of the process for the 25 year-old Horodecki, and will certainly help garner the Canadian MMA stalwart a fresh look from the UFC. With this win bringing him his first actual victory since July of 2011, it’s a a great way to kick off the year for a fighter who’s now 19-4-1, with 1 no contest. MMASucka.com is looking forward to seeing “The Polish Hammer’s” first defense of his title, and will keep you updated on this and other significant happenings in Canadian MMA.
