ONE FC returns to Singapore on October 18th for ONE FC 11: Total Domination

“Total Domination” would perhaps be the perfect way to describe ONE FC’s resurgence in the Asian region. The organization has taken the Asian MMA scene by storm, establishing itself as one of the premier MMA promotions in the globe.

image004On October 18th, ONE Fighting Championship is set to return to its home roots, Singapore, for its 11th installment which will take place just over a month later following the conclusion of September’s “Champions & Warriors” fight card.

Tickets go on sale on August 19th at SISTIC (www.SISTIC.com.sg). As with previous ONE FC events, ONE FC 11: Total Domination is set air LIVE on Star Sports, with the first two undercard fights available for viewing free-of-charge on YouTube. Main card fights will be available for purchase at just US$9.99, for fans living outside the continent.

ONE FC 11: Total Domination is set to be headlined by a Bantamweight World Championship Unification bout pitting reigning title-holder Soo Chul Kim (7-4) against interim champion, Bibiano Fernandes (14-3). Kim, 21, is one of the youngest members of the ONE FC roster. He garnered the ONE FC 135-lbs strap at ONE FC 6: Rise of Kings, when he stopped the much fancied Leandro Issa via TKO in the 2nd frame. Fernandes, in the meantime, is a former DREAM Bantamweight and Featherweight champion. The 33-year-old went five rounds with Koetsu Okazaki before claiming the interim ONE FC 135-lbs strap.

Both these fighters will now face one another and on October 18th, the straps will be unified and only one fighter will have the right to call himself the ONE FC Bantamweight champion.

Another addition to the card will see Fight G’s Sherilyn Lim (0-0) make her professional MMA debut against a yet-to-be-named opponent. The Singaporean will undoubtedly have the backing of the home crowd as she looks to be just the 3rd female fighter to grace the ONE FC cage. This will be ONE FC’s second women’s match-up, following Nicole Chua’s encounter with Jeet Toshi at ONE FC 3: War of the Lions.

CEO of ONE Fighting Championship, Victor Cui, stated, “We are coming back to Singapore to put on one of the greatest fight cards in Asian MMA history. We will finally settle the question of who deserves to be called the top Bantamweight fighter on the planet.  Plus, the fierce MMA darling of Singapore, Sherilyn Lim, will make her ONE FC debut in front of thousands of screaming home fans. We always step it up a notch in Singapore and 18 October will be no different. We are putting together a fight card that will blow away the millions of passionate fight fans all around the world. Thousands of fans in attendance and the millions watching live around the world are set for another evening of world-class MMA action featuring the best in Asia.”
