Neil Magny vs. Seth Baczynski set for UFC Fight for the Troops 3

|

TUF veterans Neil Magny and Seth Baczynski are set to do battle at the UFC’s 3rd Fight for the Troops.

MMA Junkie confirmed the news earlier today.

Neil Magny (8-2) was a member of Shane Carwin’s team on the 16th season of The Ultimate Fighter, and made it all the way to the semi-finals, where he was defeated by Mike Ricci. The one-time All-Army Combatives Champion was not brought back to the promotion after that, but instead returned to the regional circuit where he got a couple more wins before getting the call back early this year. After defeating Jon Manley in his official UFC debut, Magny would later go on to lose to BJJ demigod Sergio Moraes at UFC 163. Will he be able to get back into the win column at the expense of another TUF alum?

Seth “The Polish Pistola” Baczysnki (18-10), unlike Magny, was at least kept on for a fight on the finale card after his stint on season 11 of The Ultimate Fighter. Like his opponent, though, he had to go on to pick up a couple of wins on the regional circuit before being brought back to the big show. On the heels of two consecutive losses, including a KO suffered at the hands of Brian Melancon at UFC 162, Baczynski will be fighting for his job and will be looking to keep it while leaving Magny in a heap. Will “The Polish Pistola” be able to get his hands on the National Guard veteran and put him to sleep?

UFC Fight for the Troops 3 goes down on November 6th from Fort Campbell at Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The main event features the middleweight debut of Lyoto Machida, who will be taking on military special operator Tim Kennedy in the main event.
