Ben Askren wants a fight with Carlos Condit

|

The Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren (12-0) is currently a free agent and weighing his options.

Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney has stated that if the UFC makes him a deal then he will not counter and give Askren the opportunity to fight for the big show.

Ben Askren wants a fight with Carlos Condit

It looks as if Askren is chomping at the bit to fight for the UFC and he has an opponent in mind.

Condit (29-7) fought at this past Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 27 event and proved he is still at the top of his game by finishing Martin Kampmann early in the fourth round. After a slow start by Condit, he found his groove in the second round and continued to show some flashy combinations and unorthodox kicks.

As for Askren, he is undefeated in his professional MMA career and most recently dominated Andrey Koreshkov at Bellator 97 in July. At Bellator 33, “Funky” won the Bellator title and has defended it four times before his contract expired.

No word as to who Condit will be fighting next or where Askren will be fighting next, but keep it locked to MMASucka.com for news as it arises.
