Two of the stoutest competitors in the UFC’s featherweight division are set to square off at the year’s end when Dennis Siver and Manny Gamburyan square off at UFC 168.

The fight was announced earlier today by UFC officials.
Dennis Siver (21-9) could very well be one of the most devastating kickers in the UFC’s lighter weight classes. Originally a competitor at 155 lbs., Siver made the jump down to featherweight after a devastating submission loss to Donald Cerrone. Since then, the German fighter has gone 2-1, with defeating Diego Nunes & Nam Phan before falling to Cub Swanson in a 3 round war. Will Siver and his feared kicking game be victorious against Gamburyan and return to winning ways?
Manny “The Anvil” Gamburyan is a member of the much-vaunted Armenian judo corps. that started making its way into the UFC starting with welterweight Karo Paryisian. After joining the UFC as part of the 5th season of the Ultimate Fighter, Gamburyan found himself outsized at lightweight and found himself competing in the WEC at a much more realistic weight of 145 lbs. Since the jump to the WEC, “The Anvil has gone 5-3, including a controversial decision victory in his most recent bout with Cole Miller. Will Gamburyan be able to keep up with his winning ways against Siver?
UFC 168 goes down on December 28th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The main event and co-main event are both rematches, pitting new UFC middleweight kingpin Chris Weidman against the man he dethroned, Anderson Silva, as well as UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey defending her belt against nemesis and fellow Ultimate Fighter coach Miesha Tate.
