Lost in all the hubbub of yesterday’s round of cuts and main event-changing injuries, one of the four former UFC fighters was already offered a new home. Ali Abdel-Azia, Executive Vice President of the World Series of Fighting, jumped on his twitter account and sent a friendly message to Yushin “Thunder” Okami.

World Series of Fighting reaches out to Yushin Okami
Yushin “Thunder” Okami (29-8), once tagged by UFC president Dana White as “the best fighter to ever come out of Japan,” was last seen losing to Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza by TKO at UFC Fight Night 28. Prior to that, Okami was on a 3 fight winning streak with wins over Buddy Roberts, Alan Belcher, and Hector Lombard. A one time title contender, Okami’s total UFC record stands at 13-5. No announcement has been made as to “Thunder’s” next move.
