Rousimar Palhares had a very successful debut at 170-pounds against Mike Pierce at UFC Fight Night 29, however it didn’t come without a little bit of controversy.

Just 31-seconds in to the fight, Palhares was able to force Pierce to tap due to a very deep ankle lock. It could have ended a couple of seconds earlier if he had released the submission.
