A rumored bout between veteran mixed martial arts fighter Shonie Carter and Battlefield Fight League welterweight champion Matt Dwyer is slated for the BFL 26 main event on December 7.

The promotion has not announced the fight or the event yet, but MMASucka.com learned of the two from sources close to both.
Carter (50-29-7 1NC) has been in the sport since 1997 and has fought for nearly every organization known to man. “Mr. International” has not fought since 2012 and is currently riding a two-fight losing streak.
Dwyer (5-1) has fought all six of his professional MMA bouts inside the BFL cage. The Toshido fighter made his pro debut in 2011 and is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. All five of Dwyer’s professional wins have come via TKO or KO stoppage.
MMASucka.com has learned that the bout will be for the BFL welterweight championship.
