The main event was originally set to to feature the return of UFC vet Ben Alloway against submission virtuoso Rick Alchin, but an injury forced Alloway to the sidelines, forcing a new headliner to materialize in the form of Phuket Top Team’s new boy Gokhan Turkyilmaz versus Canada’s Kevin Manderson.
BRACE 23 Results: Turkyilmaz finishes Manderson in just 26 seconds
And it wasn’t a bad decision by any standards.
Prior to Turkyilmaz’s new start and new gym, he suffered a loss at DARE: Rebels of MMA. But he was determined to bounce back with a victory, and he did just that by finishing Kevin Manderson in just 26 seconds.
The co-main event, meanwhile, featured a Bantamweight tilt between Queensland natives Edwin Arana and Zack Hook. “El Bomba” managed to snap his three fight losing skid, but he had to work hard for it with a Majority Decision win.
In an eight bout fight card, there were seven finishes in total, five of which came in the first stanza.
