It was announced earlier this month that World Series of Fighting had signed bantamweight fighter Cody Bollinger and it is now clear who his first opponent will be inside the WSOF cage.
Newly signed bantamweight Cody Bollinger will take on Tyson Nam in his WSOF debut
MMASucka.com learned from sources close to the fight that Bollinger would make his WSOF debut against Tyson Nam.
Bollinger (14-2) was on this season of The Ultimate Fighter (Season 18), but was released from the show due to missing weight for his match-up against Anthony Gutierrez. “Bam Bam” is coming off a win against Kenny Johnson at Gladiator Challenge – Battleground in March.
Nam (12-5) is coming off his first loss in two years at WSOF 2 against Marlon Moraes in March. Prior to the knockout loss, Nam was riding a four-fight winning streak, including a knockout victory against Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas at Shooto Brazil.
Bollinger vs. Nam are expected to square off at WSOF 8 on January 13, 2014.
