The preliminary portion of the card features five action-packed fights with a ton of local talent.

Micah Brakefield vs. Brendan Kornberger
Both fighters began the first round with a jab here and a leg kick there. Kornberger threw a heavy punch and Brakefield immediately clinched. He was able to get the back and landed a belly to back suplex, but couldn’t keep Kornberger on the mat. Brakefield pushed Kornberger up against the cage and locked up an arm-triangle choke. The first round bell sounded with the two locked up in a clinch.
Kornberger had Micah on his belly and was landing big bombs. He continued to land the big punches from the top position, with Brakefield rolling around, forcing corner man Kalib Starnes to throw in the towel.

Myles Merola vs. Dan Ring
Both Merola and Ring start out strong. “The Cowboy” landed a nice hook, followed by a big knee by Ring. The Dynamic MMA fighter, landed a flurry of punches that pushed Merola to the center of the cage. The two seemed very content with dancing in the clinch for the better part of two minutes. When they broke, both fighters landed kicks and Merola ended up with a takedown. When Ring looked to up-kick he landed a low blow. When the referee started the action, the two flurried and landed some nice punches.
Merola started the second round with a one-two combination and pushed the fight up against the cage. Merola was able to land a takedown, but Ring scrambled back to his feet. After some clinch work, Ring was able to get the fight to the mat, but Merola worked back to his feet. Merola locked in a deep arm in guillotine, Ring fought through it and was able to regain posture. Merola finished the round with a takedown.
A touch of gloves started the third round. Merola took a power double leg takedown early in the round. After some time on the mat with Ring in Merola’s guard a head butt forced the referee to take a point away from Ring. When the two stood up, Merola landed another big takedown to end up in Ring’s guard. Merola locked in a front head lock and landed some knees to finish out the fight.

Shawn Albrecht vs. Gabriel Salario
Almost immediately Albrecht looked to go for a single-leg takedown. On the break, Albrecht threw a high-kick but it was blocked. Salario caught a body kick attempt and took the fight to the mat. On the scramble up, Albrecht was able to take the back with one hook in. Albrecht used his strength to keep Salario turtled. While in the turtle position Albrecht landed some knees to the body and short punches to the face. With just under 30-seconds left the two squared off in the center of the cage and threw a couple punches to finish out the round.
The first minute of the second round was a clinching battle against the cage. Albrecht did everything he could to get the fight to the mat and eventually did. From the guard Salario looked to have an armbar all locked up, but Albrecht fought it off. Albrecht looked to get a takedown, but Salario ended up on top. Both fighters looked very tired with thirty-seconds left in the round, but still decided to just stand and trade til the bell sounded.
Salario looked to be the crisper fighter to start the third round. Albrecht looked for another takedown, but Salario fought it off and was almost able to get a takedown of his own. A low blow by Salario forced the referee to call for a stoppage in action. Salario landed a couple of clean punches when the action returned, which forced Albrecht to clinch again.The round finished with Albrecht looking for a takedown and Salario pounding down some body shots.

Matt Baker vs. David Perron
Perron landed a short combination to start the round and forced baker to go for the takedown. Perron locked up a guillotine on the way down, but Baker ended up in half guard. Baker popped his head out and Perron immediately locked in a triangle choke forcing Baker to tap out.

Richard Arsenault vs. Michael Hill
A couple inside leg kicks by Hill buckle Arsenault’s lead leg a bit. Both fighters threw a couple of power punches that missed. Arsenault threw a big punch, but hurt something in the process and hobbled on his leg. Hill swarmed with some power punches and landed on top of Arsenault. Hill landed some nasty elbows from inside the guard. With Arsenault pressed up against the cage Hill finished the round dropping down punches. Arsenault hobbled to his corner.
Arsenault stumbled his way to the center of the cage and after numerous leg kicks the referee paused the fight. Unable to continue Michael Hill picks up the win.
