After two week battle, Shane del Rosario passes away from catastrophic cardiovascular collapseShane Del Rosario

After nearly two-weeks in an Orange County hospital, UFC heavyweight Shane del Rosario took his last breath on Sunday evening.

There were conflicting reports throughout the past week that he had passed away already, but del Rosario fought a valiant fight, but was unable to beat the catastrophic cardiovascular collapse.

On Tuesday November 26, del Rosario suffered a catastrophic cardiovascular collapse in his house.

His manager Jason House told MMAFighting.com that he may have suffered from a rare condition called Long QT Syndrome.

“Doctors believe he may suffer from a rare condition called Long QT Syndrome which is a genetic anomaly that can cause a sudden and life threatening heart rhythm abnormality, and may result in sudden death. Tragically, it strikes healthy young people and often is the first and only presentation of a heart problem.”

His friend and teammate Ian McCall took to Instagram to send his condolences.

MMASucka.com would like to send our condolences to the friends and family of Shane del Rosario.
