BRACE 25 Results: Matt Darke takes close split decision from Will Swann

|

BRACE capped off its last event of the calendar year with six fights.

BRACE 25 took place on December 21st at the North Leagues Club in Sydney, Australia.

Matt Darke faced Will Swann in a 155-lbs headliner, and did just enough to get the judges’ nod. Swann had his moments during the striking exchanges, but Darke’s tactics against the cage proved too much. It was Darke’s first win his pro Mixed Martial Arts career following an 0-2 start.

Andrew Mills, in the meantime, notched a close Majority Decision win over Medhi Rahimi. Mills failed to capitalize on the dominant positions he was in as Rahimi survived multiple punches from the bottom. Rahimi rallied through a Rear-Naked Choke attempt too. But in the end, the judges felt Mills merited more points on the score cards, and gave him the nod for a victory.

Elsewhere on the fight card, there wins for Mark Elworthy, Michael McSevney, Geo Ellahi and Dean Maddison.
