The Ultimate Fighter: China – Episode 3

The Ultimate Fighter: China is a 12-episode reality TV series where the best Chinese mixed martial artists in the world gather in Shenyang, Liaoning, to live, train and compete with each other to win a six-figure contract with the UFC.

16 contestants consisting of Lightweights (155-lbs) and Welterweights (170-lbs) were chosen based on try-outs and interviews held in Beijing, at the Cotai Strip Resorts in Macau and the Marina Bays Sands in Singapore.

The Ultimate Fighter: China – Episode 3

UFC star and former Strikeforce Middleweight champ, Cung Le, serves as mentor and Chief Coach of “TUF: China”, while the UFC’s first Chinese fighter Zhang Tie Quan, and China’s Mixed Martial Arts legend Ao Hai Lin, serve as team coaches for the cast members.

The highly anticipated reality MMA series airs on Liaoning Satellite TV, reaching more than 830 million viewers across China at prime time. The LIVE Finale event to determine the inaugural champion of The Ultimate Fighter: China will take place at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena in March of 2014.

In this episode, the second fight of the season takes place between Team Lions’ Shi Liang and Team Dragons’ Ning Guang You. Liang was Ao Hai Lin’s last 145-lbs fighter pick, while You was the first Featherweight pick for coach Zhang Tie Quan.
