Let’s be honest: Every now and then it’s fun to get down into the nitty-gritty statistics and see if we can’t perform some MMAth. It helps us analyze future fights and make predictions based on previous history. Fans of all sports do it, so why can’t we? It can help us look for potential trends in a fighter as well. So, with thanks to Sherdog and FightMetric.com for the raw data, let’s examine the co-main event of the upcoming UFC 168: Ronda Rousey vs Meisha Tate 2.

Just like Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva in the main event, I predict that the rematch will have the same victor as the first. I do, however, suspect that there will be a bit more blood. Whether it’s a bleeding face or an open fracture of Meisha Tate’s arm remains to be seen, but there will be blood. I predict that Ronda Rousey will continue in her quest to replace Rickson Gracie as the world’s most famous arm collector and take another 1st round victory.
