Apparently, British Prince Harry, younger brother of second in line to the throne, William, has been training his girlfriend up in martial arts in case she’s attacked at any point – and, presumably, to help keep her in shape.

The 29 year-old Prince wants to absolutely sure Cressida Bonas can defend herself and has been teaching her one of the systems he learned as a teenager.

The Prince is thought to be very protective of his 24-year-old girlfriend and often acts as a personal bodyguard when he’s with her.

Prince Harry is a Captain in the British Army’s “Blues and Royals” section of the Household Cavalry and he’s previously seen action in Afghanistan – as part of the Army’s Third Mechanised Division. Subsequently, the young Prince took a helicopter training course, which he duly passed – before joining the Army’s Air Corp when he and flew Apache gunships. He then went back to Afghanistan last year for a four-month tour of duty as co-pilot and gunner.

In other words, he should know what it takes to protect Cressida – a model and wannabe actress with a pretty noble lineage of her own.

But the Prince isn’t always whiter than white. A couple of years ago he was pictured partying in a hotel-casino’s Jacuzzi in Vegas with a naked chick – obviously a little worse for wear. Whether or not Harry prefers gambling in casinos or simply partying is impossible to tell. And it’s not like he could possibly need the money. But perhaps Cressida would prefer his gambling to remain virtual in future? And if that is the case, he could pick up as much as £3,000 free at Casino Tropez – which is just about the most generous online casino around when it comes to welcome bonuses, live roulette in web spaces – and interesting interviews with gambling pros.

At least this is a bit safer than a real casino. Either way, it’s difficult to imagine Cressida coming under attack with the amount of martial arts-trained bodyguards that must now be swarming around her if she’s as serious a girlfriend as the British media seem to think. But if she does – she’ll at least know a few moves of her own.
