According to various reports, Thiago Silva has been apprehended by Florida police following an altercation at a Fort Lauderdale jiujitsu school and a standoff at his home. Silva threatened people inside the school, along with being armed at the time.

After the commotion, he left the school and went back to his house in Coral Heights Court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There were no reported injuries, but eventually the S.W.A.T team was called into handling the situation after Silva barricaded himself inside his house. He went into custody around 11 pm.

Silva was expected to face Ovince St. Preux at UFC 171 in Dallas, Texas. The UFC has yet to comment on the situation. We will be sure to update the situation, once we hear more information.
