UFC light heavyweight Thiago Silva was arrested Thursday evening after a standoff with Miami Police.
Dana White: Thiago Silva “will never fight in the UFC again”
According to TMZ.com, UFC President Dana White has said, “This guy will never fight in the UFC again.”
After initially being charged with attempted murder, the judge has since changed it to two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. Silva is being held in custody with no bond, due to the possibility of him recommitting the offense.
Silva was expected to face Ovince St. Preux at UFC 171 in Dallas, Texas. The UFC has yet to comment on the situation. We will be sure to update the situation, once we hear more information.
