Sarah Kaufman’s next fight has been officially booked. According to UFC officials, she will be facing Shayna Baszler at the TUF Nations Finale in Quebec City. Baszler is infamous for being one of the heavy favorites for TUF 17, but lost to TUF 17 winner Julianna Pena in the opening round.
Sarah Kaufman versus Shayna Baszler set for TUF Nations Finale
Kaufman has been wanting to fight for weeks now following her controversial loss to Jessica Eye, which ended up being a no contest. What seems to be forgotten is that these two female fighters actually fought before in Strikeforce. Kaufman won the bout by unanimous decision, which took place in 2009.
It may not be in British Columbia where she grew up in, but Kaufman should be ecstatic to fight in her home country of Canada. The TUF Nations Finale card will be headlined by Michael Bisping versus Tim Kennedy. There should be more match ups announced in the upcoming weeks.
