The UFC crowned a new king of the welterweight division at UFC 171, as Johny Hendricks defeated Robbie Lawler in a five-round all out war. The immediate question was, who will be next for Hendricks’ title? It didn’t take long for a couple of fighters to make their requests — Tyron Woodley and Rory MacDonald.
MacDonald (16-2) is coming off a decisive victory over Demian Maia at UFC 170 in February and is currently ranked at number four in the welterweight division.
Who wants to see me fight @JohnyHendricks in vancouver for the @ufc welterweight title? Bringing the title back to canada!! @danawhite

Woodley (13-2) is riding a two-fight winning streak, with a knockout over Josh Koscheck last year and a TKO (due to knee injury) against Carlos Condit at UFC 171 this past Saturday night. Woodley is ranked at number eleven on UFC.com, however that number does not reflect the fact that he just beat the number two ranked fighter. He did not make on request via Twitter, he sent four separate tweets out.

If it’s not Woodley or MacDonald that gets the shot at Hendricks’ title, who should it be? Leave your comments below.
