Update:
The UFC’s Canadian arm has issued a statement on the appearance of Kaillie Humphries.
We can’t wait to have bobsledder and two-time Olympic gold medallist Kaillie Humphries with us in Quebec City for #TUFNationsFinale fight week! Kaillie will participate in an MMA seminar at #UFCExperience on Sunday, April 13th at Fleur de Lys Mall, attend weigh-ins April 15th and fight night April 16th. Hope to see you there too! http://on.ufc.com/1eRZE3f
The CBC has also since updated their article, including quotes from a UFC spokesman as to what will actually be happening.
Canadian bobsledder Kaillie Humphries – who not only took gold in her event but also acted as a flag bearer at this year’s Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia – is claiming that she will be competing on the April 16th TUF: Nations Finale. Humphries (allegedly 10-1) does not have a record or even an entry on Sherdog.com or the UG, released a tweet earlier today containing an image that included her statistics, and listing the date of the TUF: Nations Finale as “April 13th.” This was also posted by her manager, Kris Mychasiw of Sprint Management. Their story has since been picked up by major Canadian news outlets like CBC, but it does not appear that any actual digging has been done.
Here are the tweets in question from Humphries and Mychasiw. You will notice that the weight listed falls outside of any current UFC weight class for their women’s division, and they have event date listed incorrectly.

The UFC has yet to issue a comment on Humphries’ claims as of press time. The TUF: Nations Finale is scheduled to go down on April 16th, from the Pepsi Centre in Quebec City, QC. The card is headlined by a middleweight clash between Michael Bisping and Tim Kennedy. Stay tuned to MMASucka for more on this situation as it develops.
She is not fighting.
