World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo once said that if any of his fighters are unhappy, then they can simply ask for their release and be on their way. One of his top welterweights is no longer happy, and now we get to see if Sefo will live up to his word as Josh Burkman took to Twitter to ask to be let go from his contract after reportedly not being paid a win bonus for his victory over Tyler Stinson at WSOF 9.
I can't work on going anywhere else unless #WSOF releases me. If so, we will start fresh somewhere else…

I have nothing but love for you @SugarRaySefo you said if a fighter was unhappy you would release them. Guess it's not that simple my friend

As you can see, Sefo is hoping that he and Burkman can work it out. However, unless something drastic happens, “The People’s Warrior” could soon be on his way to other cages if he continues to persue his WSOF release. Stay tuned to MMASucka for more on this and other news.
