Jake Shields signs with World Series of Fighting

|

Four years to the day after his greatest triumph (defeating Dan Henderson in Strikeforce) and only a few short weeks after being cut by the UFC, things are looking up once again for Jake Shields. The World Series of Fighting announced today that the most respectful member of the Skrap Pack has signed with their organization.

WSOF officials confirmed the signing earlier today, but have not yet found a debut fight for him.

Shields (29-7-1, 1 N/C) has long been considered one of the best positional grapplers in MMA. Despite his setback to Hector Lombard at UFC 171, the Cesar Gracie Fight Team member still has wins over lauded opposition such as Demian Maia and the aforementioned “Hendo.” Now that he has found a new home with the WSOF, will we see a new fire lit under the Californian? Time will tell.
