The main event for the UFC’s debut in Maine has been set, as Ryan Bader and Ovince Saint Preux will square off at UFC Fight Night 47.

UFC officials announced the main event battle on bangordailynews.com.

Bader (17-4) is coming off a huge unanimous decision victory at UFC 174 earlier this month against Rafael Feijao. The win notches the second straight for Bader, as he won against Anthony Perosh at UFC Fight Night 33 in December.

Saint Preux (16-5) has won five in a row, with four of those victories coming under the UFC banner. Most recently OSP finished Ryan Jimmo via verbal submission at UFC 174. His last loss was against Gegard Mousasi in 2011 under the Strikeforce promotion.

At the UFC 174 post-fight press conference both Bader and Saint Preux said the match-up made sense and UFC officials obviously agreed.

UFC Fight Night 47 goes down on August 16 from the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. Other bouts set for the Maine card are Tim Boetsch vs. Brad Tavares, Shawn Jordan vs. Jack May and Sam Alvey vs. Tom Watson.
