Holly Holm has officially signed with the UFC

After months of speculation and negotiation between both parties, the UFC has finally reached a deal with boxing and MMA star Holly Holm. The deal is known to be exclusive for now, but it has been ruled as a multi-fight deal. Holm is 7-0 in her MMA career and had just won the inaugural Legacy FC women’s bantamweight championship.

Her boxing excellence is well known, as she’s 33-2-3 in her professional career. After achieving practically every major title in women’s professional boxing, she made the switch to MMA and had garnered a lot of attention from her recent performances. Her popularity also attributes to training in Albuquerque, New Mexico with Greg Jackson. There is no indication on who she will fight next, but it will surely happen before the year is over. She is still recovering from the broken arm she suffered in her last victory over Juliana Werner.

In a division lacking in contenders and overall buzz, Holm will surely bring a lot of attention. We’ve yet to actually see a true knockout in the women’s division. It may not take long for Holm to erase that stat given her world class striking. The news was announced in unique fashion by none other than Dana White.
