The Sucka Writer Search 3.0

|

We at MMASucka.com are looking to add some new writers to the mix.

We will be asking writers who are interested in taking part to submit samples of their writing. Don’t worry if you already work for the site, your job is not in danger [Well maybe].

Submit your work to [email protected].

The contest will run from Friday July 18 – Friday August 1

Please read the rules below carefully. If the rules are not followed, your submission will be disqualified.

– The length of the piece should be somewhere between 500-1000 words. If it’s way more than 1000 then your submission will be denied.

– Make sure you are submitting pieces about MMA. We are an MMA site, not a professional wrestling site or any other sort of sport. There are plenty of topics that could be covered, but make sure yours is unique.

– You have about two weeks before the search wraps up so take your time and do it properly. Do not worry if you are not the first to enter your piece. It doesn’t matter whether you are first or 203rd, we will read everything.

– Although we have an editor, it is still your responsibility to submit grammatically correct stories, especially in your sample. If you don’t put in the time, neither will we.

– If you are looking to write for us, that is what we are looking for, writers. Do not submit entries if you can not commit to at least one piece a week if not more.

– This writer search will NOT BE A PAID GIG. You are getting an opportunity to write for a site that gets very good traffic and gives you a place to let your creativity flow. You will be able to etch your craft with us and have the freedom to write about mixed martial arts. This is a place to grow as a writer and contribute to an enthusiastic team. You will get great interview opportunities if that is something you are interested in. If after some time we deem you a great asset for Sucka we can discuss payment options and obviously you will get some swag as well.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to let us know.

All submissions should have the title “The Sucka Writer Search.”

Once again make sure you submit your work to [email protected].

Please include your full name, email address, Twitter account (If you have one) and anything else you feel needed.

Good luck to everyone and remember that if you are not chosen, do not take it personally. I am sure all entries will be fantastic, however you just may not be the right fit for MMASucka.com at the moment.
